Balmoral integrated pipework and mechanical services division expands

 

After a challenging and somewhat uncertain year we’ve seen our pipework division expand its service offering to deliver an ever-growing range of solutions resulting in a 116% increase in turnover.

One flagship project has seen us take full responsibility for the tanks and pipework at a high profile UK sewage treatment plant. Our scope for the pre-thermal hydrolysis process (THP) covers the design, supply, fabrication, installation and testing of stainless schedule, stainless metric, carbon, pipe bridges, galvanised structures and the installation of free issue mechanical items. In addition to the pre-THP works we will provide all steam pipework.

The company’s reach has also widened into new sectors including the MoD and transport infrastructure which has seen the installation of eel screens, stainless steel and galvanised carbon steel drainage solutions as well as providing dedicated mechanical building services.

Our focused pipework facility is highly active in supporting the tank manufacturing operation and has recently provided hydrant tanks as well as smaller carbon and stainless steel fabrication solutions.

Recent investment in new estimating software will help manage increasing enquiry demands, resulting in quicker response times and, as we further develop this part of the business, we’ve strengthened the projects team with the appointment of Barbara Buckley as contracts manager.

This approach helps minimise site installation time while reducing interaction between other site contractors which remains a priority at this time. Modular systems can also further reduce site installation procedures.
