Sir James Milne CBE, DL, DHC, Hon DBA, Hon FRIAS established Balmoral Group in 1980 with just five employees designing and manufacturing glass reinforced plastic products. Today, employing more than 800 people, the privately-owned company provides design and manufacturing solutions to the global subsea, energy, civil and environmental engineering sectors.
Sir James is a member of Entrepreneurial Scotland, Fellow of Prosper (formerly the Scottish Council for Development and Industry) and Chairman of the Friends of ANCHOR, a fundraising body which supports cancer care and research at Grampian University Hospitals NHS Trust.
It’s all about teamwork at Balmoral. We all have strengths and weaknesses and it is important to recognise this and work together to achieve what has to be achieved.

Jon’s experience, gleaned since the 1990s, provides a wealth of expertise to clients and colleagues.
Having started his career in the industry as an estimator, Jon has a deep understanding of how to add value to clients’ business requirements through the best possible application of our unrivalled portfolio of products and services.

Natalie has worked within the storage tank industry for many years, bringing a wealth of experience and ability to the business. She covers all aspects of the finance team. Natalie has progressed within the company and department to the position of Finance Director. Her strong understanding extends to the manufacturing and contracting sectors that the company operates within.

Mr Joyce’s experience is in sales and marketing management coupled with direct manufacturing experience in the plastics and engineering industries. Allan has an MBA and holds fellowship status within the Chartered Management Institute and Chartered Institute of Marketing as well as the Institute of Directors.
Chairman of the Rotational Moulding Group within the British Plastics Federation for four years, Allan also chaired the Alliance of Rotational Moulding Organisations for a further four year period.

Simon’s experience is in export business development and establishing distributor networks in overseas territories. Having worked in the liquid storage sector since the early 1990s, Simon specialises in specification selling, territory development and relationship management.
In addition to living in the UK, UAE, Singapore and Vietnam, Simon has travelled to over 60 countries during his career.

Norman has 40 years of expertise in the building services industry, specialising in the field of water storage tanks.
Having worked across several different areas within Balmoral, Norman has built an extensive knowledge of sales, site services contract management, and business development. Describing himself as being a highly focused, customer service orientated individual, Norman has always promoted the 'customer experience' as the company's number one priority when dealing with Balmoral Tanks.
We firmly believe that customer service is one of the greatest differentiators and, whilst product quality must be second to none, it is the experience of making it easy and enjoyable when purchasing from Balmoral Tanks that will always make the biggest difference

Previously a partner in KPMG’s Aberdeen office, Bill is a CA and has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Edinburgh University. He is heavily involved in the general management of the business and, in addition to Group finance responsibilities, also oversees the company’s IT infrastructure.
Balmoral engenders a great loyalty within its workforce. This loyalty works both ways and is a huge benefit to the organisation and our clients as a whole.
Gary has enjoyed a career across the defence, aerospace and electronic sectors where he has held responsibility for engineering, operations, programme management and business development.
He is a time served electrical engineer and achieved an ONC & HNC in electrical electronics before undertaking further qualifications in personnel management, continual improvement and LEAN, more recently completing an APM PMQ.
