Commentary - April 2026

As HR Manager at Balmoral Tanks, I’m delighted to share that we have achieved Investors in People Gold accreditation.

This is a fantastic milestone for our business, but more importantly, it’s a reflection of our people and the culture we’ve built together. Only 28% of organisations reach Gold, and what that tells me is that what we have here at Balmoral Tanks is something special.

What makes this recognition meaningful is that it’s based on the experiences of our team. It comes from honest conversations, shared feedback and the everyday reality of working here. During the assessment, we heard some wonderful comments that really capture the spirit of our workplace:

“I’m absolutely loving it here! Everyone’s so welcoming. This has been my best work experience. Balmoral’s the best company I’ve ever worked for.”

“Balmoral Tanks is a great place to work.”

“The company’s committed to equality and diversity, they respect the needs of people of different religions in my experience.”

Reading feedback like this is incredibly rewarding, because it reflects the kind of environment we all work hard to create. A place where people feel welcomed, supported, and respected. A place where teamwork isn’t just encouraged, it’s part of who we are.

What stands out to me most is the way our teams support one another. Across every part of the business, there’s a real sense of pride, collaboration, and willingness to go the extra mile. That’s what makes Balmoral Tanks more than just a workplace.

Of course, while we’re proud of this achievement, we also see it as part of an ongoing journey. The Investors in People assessment has given us valuable insight and clear recommendations, and we’ll be using these to shape our next steps. We are committed to listening, improving, and continuing to build an environment where everyone can thrive.

I’d like to personally thank every single person across Balmoral Tanks. This accreditation belongs to you. It’s your attitude, your teamwork, and your commitment that have made this possible.
