Project case study
Saint-Gobain (Isover) Runcorn
Saint-Gobain produces insulation materials for the housing market. Due to the nature of the product it is imperative that the manufacturing plant functions 24/7, 365 days a year, with a three week period set aside for essential regular maintenance.
It was critical that the replacement tank, together with steel framework, be installed within this window of opportunity, and the need for tank installers to work alongside the on-site engineers who first had to remove the old tank, which was to be reused, prior to dismantling the outdated tank which was being replaced.
Saint-Gobain had full confidence in Balmoral’s ability to complete the project within the tight timeframe as the company had previously supplied and assembled a tank and frame on the site several years earlier which is still functioning perfectly.
