Balmoral Tanks case study

What was installed:

Buffer tank Ø9.4m x 16.4m high. Epoxy coated tank with a 20° conical roof structure. Net capacity, including freeboard, 1057m3.

Biobed tank Ø7.8m x 18m high. Stainless steel with externally beamed stainless steel roof structure. 70mbar test pressure. Net capacity, including freeboard, 808m3.

Flash aeration tank Ø7.8m x 8.1m high. Epoxy coated with 20° conical roof structure. Net capacity, including freeboard, 337m3.

Conditioning tank Ø1.5m x 18m high. Stainless steel tank with externally beamed stainless steel roof structure. 70mbar test pressure. Net capacity, including freeboard, 30m3.

The conditioning tank is a company ‘first’ it being the smallest diameter/highest tank we have ever designed, fabricated and installed.

Water testing was carried out by the client while gas and air tests to pressures given above were tested by Balmoral.
